FAQ
What people ask before they book
What happens at the first visit?
You talk with your clinician first. For chiropractic there is then an exam and, if you agree, adjusting. For massage, you choose the pressure and areas. For red light, a few questions and then rest. You can stop or say no at any point.
Is chiropractic safe?
Every kind of care has risks. Soreness after an adjustment is common and usually short, and rare serious problems have been reported, including with neck adjustments. Your chiropractor explains the risks before you decide. Chiropractic, massage and red light are not substitutes for medical care.
Will it hurt?
Most people feel pressure, movement or warmth rather than pain, and some are sore the next day. Tell your clinician at any point and they change what they are doing.
How many visits will I need?
Your chiropractor sets a plan with you after the exam and changes it as you go. Massage and red light are as often as you like. We do not promise a number of visits or a result.
Do you take my insurance?
We bill some plan types for chiropractic visits. Massage and red light are paid for by you. The plan decides what it pays, so the fees page says how to check before you come.
What if I do not use insurance?
You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ask us, and we give you a written estimate before your visit.
Do I need x-rays?
Only when it is medically necessary. Your chiropractor tells you why before ordering one, and you can say no.
Can I come while pregnant, or bring my child?
Vitalis cares for adults. If you are pregnant, ask your midwife or OB first and tell us when you book. We make no claims about pregnancy and do not see children.
What if I have seen another provider?
Tell us. With your permission, we can send a short note to your doctor or another clinician, and we will say so if something should wait for them.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please tell us as early as you can. Ask us about our cancellation policy.
